Welcome to Stand for Children in Tennessee

Tennessee Stand for Children brings together people from all walks of life – parents, grandparents, people who work with children, and others who care about the next generation – in order to make children a top political priority.

Since 1999, Stand for Children members in Tennessee have won 17 state and local victories leveraging more than $150 million in public funding for schools and other programs serving more than 300,000 children.

Our 2009 Policy Agenda - Moving Schools Forward

Stand for Children believes that every child in Tennessee should have access to quality early education, well-funded schools, excellent teachers, and high standards for student achievement.  Read more about our plan to keep schools moving foward in 2009, even in these tough times.
