2009 Newton Candidate Surveys

Newton Stand for Children uses grassroots action to ensure all children get the excellent public education and support they need to thrive. Following specific priorities chosen by our members, we focus on securing adequate funding for public schools and reforming education policies and practices.

The upcoming municipal elections provide an exciting opportunity for Newton to consider a variety of leadership priorities. Since each elected position will impact the Newton Public Schools, we have surveyed each candidate who is in a contested race about education-related issues. Our findings will enable our members, and the community at large, to be informed voters.
